Enrollment:
The enrollment packet must be filled out completely by a parent or guardian before a child can be enrolled at the center. These forms are required for licensing purposes and provide the essential information that is required to ensure the proper health and safety of the child. It is crucial that the center maintain the most current information at all times. In the case of a change of address, phone number, or employment, the center must be notified immediately so that the information can be updated in the child’s record.
- Parents are required to pay an initial application/enrollment fee of $ 25.00.
- Parents are required to pay the first week’s tuition to secure a space for your child.
- Parents are required to pay a yearly supply fee of 50.00 due upon enrollment.
- Parents are required to make a pre-enrollment visit with their child before the child is left at the center for the first time. This visit will familiarize the child with the new surroundings and also give the parents an opportunity to see the operations of the Center and to ask questions.
- Bright Start Learning Center, L.L.C. has an “open-door” policy for parents. However, for the saftey and well being of our center we ask that you notify the center of your visit. If you wish to have a conference with the Director, please call to set an appointment.
Tuition and Payment Schedule
When a child is enrolled at Bright Start, they occupy a space in a particular room. Regardless of whether a child attends daily, or is absent, the parent is responsible for payment each week. Payment is still required in the event unforeseen circumstances occur. Initial payment of registration fee, yearly supply fee, and first week’s tuition are due prior to the child attending. Bright Start requires Tuition Payment’s to be processed through your Bright Wheel account. Bright Wheel will send notification of the upcoming weeks bill on Friday. Childcare payments are due the Monday of each new week of care. Payments made on or after Tuesday will be subject to a Daily $5.00 late fee charge.
Please note: Tuition rates are based on a 9-hr. day. Anything over a 9-hr. day is an additional $ 5.00 an hour per child. If you need care over 9-hours on a regular basis, please notify the Director and your rate will be adjusted accordingly in which you can pay a flat rate. This also applies to Mountain Heart parents.
Withdrawals and Grounds for Dismissal:
Parents may withdraw a child from the program at any time. A two-week notice in writing to the director is required. Parents who fail to provide a two-week notice will be responsible for the last two weeks of tuition. Withdrawal and subsequent re-enrollment will entail an additional fee.
- The center reserves the right to dismiss a child from the program if he becomes an endangerment to himself or others (an example being habitually biting another child.) This decision will only be made after a series of parent/teacher conferences and consultations with the director.
- Non-payment for care can result in the dismissal of a child. It is our policy to take personal interest in each child and his family. If the parents do experience any financial difficulties, we will try to work with them before dismissing the child.
- Failure to provide up-to –date health records for the child may result in dismissal.
- Other dismissal causes are chronic ill health and misbehavior, which is consistently threatening or disruptive to other children and in the judgement of the staff, appears to be uncontrollable. Behavior issues will be documented and parent meetings will be scheduled to develop an individual plan for your child. Outside sources will be used only when parent agrees.
- A parent’s failure to cooperate with center polices. A child can be dismissed if a parent’s actions become aggressive.
